Representatives of IFRC Regional Office for Europe, Ms. Seval Guzelkilinc, Head of Disaster Response and Crisis Response Team, Ms. Henriett Koos, Senior Associate for Disaster Response and Crisis Management , Mr. Goran Boljanović, Senior Expert Associate for Procurement in Global Operations, have visited RCSBIH from 11-13 February 2019. On 11.02.2019. they had meetings with RCSBIH management as well as with all relevant persons from RCSBIH structure who work on Emergeny Appeal implementation, the Secretary General of RCSBIH, Secretary General of RCSFBIH. Main goal of the meeting was to agree on priorities and the methods of implementing the Emergency Appeal in 2019. The meeting also inlcuded the presentation of procedures and guidelines for procurement according to IFRC standards.
On 12.02.2019. a meeting was held with the representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in BiH, Mrs. Irmom Sadiković and Mr. Enes Kaljancem, who presented their current activities , but also discussed the possibility to deepen the cooperation between RCSBIH and IOM through signing of the Memorandum of Understanding during continuation of the response to migration crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the end of their two-day visit , Mrs. Seval Guzelkilinc and Ms. Henriett Koos went for a filed visit to Bihać RC while Goran Boljanovic continued his work with RCSBIH logistics person.
From 18-21.02.2019. Representatives of the Regional Office for Europe, Ms. Henriett Koos, Senior Associate for Disaster Response and Crisis Response, and Mr. Ivan Usmiani, Member of the Regional Disaster Response and Crisis Response Team visited RCSBIH to continue already began discussions related Emergency Appeal operation in response to migration crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina .
Coordination meeting of the Movement components
Coordination Meeting of the components of the Red Cross / Red Crescent Movement, partners of RCSBIH, was held on 21. 02.2019. Participating National Societies were RC of United Arab Emirates, IFRC, ICRC, Italian Red Cross , Representatives of the Center for Cooperation in the Mediterranean and the Spanish Red Cross . Representatives of the Turkish Red Crescent Society Office in BiH apologized for their inability to attend due to urgent obligations. The main topics were the overview of the activities related Emergency Appeal , possibilities of additional support by other national societies and the presentation of information on preparatory activities for hosting the 13th. Mediterranean Conference , which will be held from 30.03-05.04.2019 . in Sarajevo.
During this working visit, representatives of IFRC Regional Office for Europe reaffirmed their commitment to continue providing a comprehensive suport to RCSBIH structure for the benefit of the most vulnerable in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
